Is AirOps legit? Funding, security, and what 110+ reviewers report

By Jean Luc Poitier, SEO and growth marketing strategist · AirOps Reviews · Updated October 5, 2026

The short answer

Yes. AirOps is a real, funded software company with a security certification, named customers, and a strong rating from verified users. The risks are ordinary ones for a complex B2B tool: a real learning curve, prices you only see after a sales call or sign-up, and one reviewer's report of poor support after signing.

Who is behind AirOps

AirOps announced a $7M seed round led by Wing, a $15.5M Series A led by Unusual Ventures in October 2024, and a $40M Series B led by Greylock in November 2025, with more than two dozen marketing leaders investing in that round. Its customer stories name Carta, Ramp, Chime, Webflow, and KAYAK. In September 2026 it began selling its software together with an expert services team as one engagement, so newer customers get strategy help as well as the platform.

What AirOps reviews say

On G2, AirOps averages 4.7 out of 5 from 134 reviews. Of the 112 G2 reviews we display, 2 are rated 3 stars or lower. The praise centers on workflows that cut hours of work to minutes; the criticism centers on the learning curve and price. Our review statistics break the numbers down, and the G2 page shows every review.

The caveats AirOps reviewers raise

The most serious complaint in the corpus is about support after the contract is signed:

“After signing the contract, there was zero onboarding or welcome communication—no guidance on support, no account overview, nothing. I then ran into a billing/account issue where my prompt tracking limits didn’t match my contract.”Sean C., Head of Content, G2 (2 of 5 stars)

Others are about effort and accuracy, even from reviewers who rate it highly:

“We've caught incorrect stats, wrong product details, and facts that just needed a second look before publishing. It means editing time is still real.”Bridget N., AEO/SEO Editorial Strategist, G2 (5 of 5 stars)

Before you commit, ask AirOps for the price in writing, confirm your task and prompt limits match the contract, and ask who your onboarding contact will be. The 14-day free trial is the low-risk way to test the workflow builder first.

Is AirOps legit FAQ

Is AirOps a scam?+

No. AirOps is a venture-backed San Francisco software company with $62.5M raised, named enterprise customers, and 134 reviews on G2 averaging 4.7 out of 5. The complaints in its reviews are about setup effort, price, and support, not about being charged for something that doesn't exist.

Is AirOps safe to use with company data?+

AirOps says it is SOC 2 Type II certified with annual penetration testing, that prompts, inputs, and brand data are never used to train models, and that data is purged within 30 days of contract end. It offers the SOC 2 report, a DPA, and its subprocessor list on request.

Who owns AirOps?+

AirOps is an independent, privately held company founded by Alex Halliday (CEO), Matt Hammel, and Berna Gonzales. Its investors include Greylock, which led its $40M Series B in November 2025, Unusual Ventures, and Wing.

Are AirOps' G2 reviews real?+

G2 marks the reviews we pulled as verified, and 110 of the 112 we show are labeled organic rather than invited or incentivized. About one in seven reviewers say they came through AirOps' training cohort, so part of the praise is for the course.
