AirOps vs Semrush: AI content workflows vs an SEO suite with AI tracking
By Jean Luc Poitier, SEO and growth marketing strategist · AirOps Reviews · Updated October 15, 2026
Semrush is an SEO research suite (keywords, backlinks, audits, rank tracking) that now bundles AI visibility tracking into its plans. AirOps doesn't do keyword or backlink research itself; it connects to tools like Semrush and Ahrefs and turns their data into workflows that write and refresh content.
Pick Semrush if you need SEO research and AI visibility in one subscription at a published price. Pick AirOps if your gap is producing and refreshing content at volume. Many teams run both.

Research suite vs content engine
Semrush tells you which keywords, pages, and prompts matter; AirOps does the content work once you know. AirOps reviewers describe plugging Semrush and Ahrefs data into workflows, so the two are as often paired as compared.
AI visibility
Semrush's Starter plan tracks 50 prompts daily, and its standalone AI Visibility Toolkit costs $99 a month for 25 prompts across engines including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI. AirOps tracks ChatGPT on Solo and 7+ answer engines on Pro, sized to your target buyers.
Billing terms to check
Semrush's refund policy excludes monthly plans and limits annual refunds to 7 days, and its trial converts automatically. In our pull of its 50 most recent Trustpilot reviews, 48 were unprompted and averaged 1.4, mostly about charges after cancelling. AirOps' own billing complaint in our corpus is one reviewer's contract-limit mismatch.
Where Semrush wins
- Keyword, backlink, and competitor research that AirOps doesn't do itself
- Published prices and a free plan
- AI visibility bundled into its SEO plans
- Backed by Adobe, with a long track record
AirOps vs Semrush FAQ
Is AirOps or Semrush cheaper?+
Semrush publishes prices from $139 a month ($117.33 billed annually) and has a free plan; AirOps doesn't publish its prices.
Can Semrush replace AirOps?+
For research and tracking, partly. Semrush has no workflow builder for producing and refreshing content at volume, which is what most AirOps reviewers use it for.
Does AirOps work with Semrush?+
Yes. AirOps lists SEO research integrations, and reviewers describe pulling Semrush and Ahrefs data into their workflows.
Why are Semrush's Trustpilot reviews so low?+
Most recent ones are unprompted complaints about billing: charges after a trial or cancellation and refused refunds. Its refund policy allows none on monthly plans. Reviewers there often still rate the tools themselves well.
